Frequently asked questions

A few practical answers about where Telos Consulting fits, how engagements work and the safest way to ask for help.

Working with Telos

What kinds of organisations do you work with?

Telos Consulting works with Australian small and medium-sized organisations that need dependable technology support, practical advice or experienced help delivering change. We are particularly well suited to organisations that need senior IT capability without building a large internal technology team.

Healthcare and medical imaging are areas of strong experience, but they are not the only industries we support.

Learn more about the organisations we work with.

Can you work alongside an internal IT team or existing provider?

We can work alongside an internal IT team on a case-by-case basis where responsibilities are clear. We do not provide ongoing support alongside another managed IT provider.

We can independently review an existing provider's quote or plan. If you decide to move to Telos Consulting, we will work collaboratively with that provider to plan an orderly transition of access, documentation and responsibility.

Do you provide remote and onsite assistance?

Many advisory, administration and support activities can be delivered remotely. Where onsite work would be useful, availability depends on the location, timing and scope. We will discuss the practical delivery approach before making a commitment.

How does an engagement begin?

It starts with a conversation about the organisation, current environment, immediate concerns and desired outcome. From there we clarify scope, responsibilities, priorities and commercial terms before work begins.

Services and projects

Can we engage Telos Consulting for a one-off project?

Yes. Project-only work can include migrations, infrastructure refreshes, office setups, Microsoft 365 improvements, vendor-led changes and an independent review of a proposed solution. We scope a project around your end goals, business continuity and business activities to minimise disruption so you can benefit from the changes as soon as possible.

Do you only work with Microsoft technology?

No. Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Windows environments are important parts of our work, but most organisations depend on a wider mix of networks, infrastructure, cloud services, backup platforms and specialist applications. Recommendations are based on the environment and business need rather than a single vendor.

What does your healthcare and medical-imaging experience cover?

Our technology experience includes clinical workflows, PACS, RIS, modality connectivity, reporting workstations, imaging infrastructure, large data flows and coordination with specialist vendors. We account for operational dependencies and the consequences of poorly planned change.

Can you review a quote or recommendation from another supplier?

Yes. We can help assess whether a proposal addresses the real requirement, identify assumptions and dependencies, compare options and explain the trade-offs in plain language. The aim is to help you make an informed decision, not to create change for its own sake.

Support and security

Can a new client use the support request form?

The support form is for existing clients and environments already known to Telos Consulting. If you are considering working with us, please use the contact page so we can understand what you need and agree on the right next step.

What response time should we expect?

Response arrangements depend on the agreed service and the impact of the request. Any coverage hours, priorities and escalation paths are documented as part of the engagement. The website support form should not be treated as an emergency or guaranteed 24-hour response channel unless your agreement explicitly says otherwise.

What information should not be sent through the website?

Do not submit patient or health information, passwords, credentials, private keys or other sensitive material through a website form. Describe the issue without including the sensitive content; if protected information is genuinely required, we will arrange an appropriate channel.
